Italian draughtsman and painter who produced a few etchings. Born in Florence, Cipriani came to England in 1755 and, as well as being a Founder Member of the Royal Academy, formed a successful partnership with fellow Italian Francesco Bartolozzi, drawing mythological subjects which Bartolozzi and his studio engraved as decorative prints.
